About the Book
Did you know that there are more than 1 billion overweight adults globally? Author Zaheen Nanji knows she has a solution, and can help individuals overcome this challenge. She is no stranger to the ups and downs of dieting herself, and was able to overcome her own battle with food, once being 40 pounds overweight. From Zaheen: “I struggled with my weight since I was a teenager and I went on my first diet at the age of 15. Being obese poses a major health risk for individuals.”
Health consequences range from premature death to a reduction in overall quality of life. Obesity is defined as having a body mass index (BMI) of over 30 kg/m2. Obese individuals are at a greater risk for serious diet-related diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, stroke, and certain forms of cancer.
The fact that she possessed a BSc in Nutrition and Food Science just made Zaheen feel worse about her personal battle with food. She became determined to find a solution, stating, “I started to make changes in my behaviors and relationship with food.” Her background in coaching helped her assist clients with behavioral and nutritional goals that helped them achieve their weight loss goals.
Zaheen spent a year doing extensive research for the book, Attract Your Ideal Weight. During this time, she interviewed dozens of people who had successfully lost weight and maintained their weight loss; from this, she discovered what she refers to in her book as the “8 Secrets of People Who Lose Weight and Keep it Off”.
The book dives into the behavioural changes and the mindset of those who have been successful with weight loss, including stories based on real life experiences. Aside from inspiring success stories, the book also includes helpful self-assessments and fun food experiments. The print edition now also includes a Daily Intentions Journal, so that you can easily attract your ideal weight.

Zaheen Nanji is a Resilience Champion, speaker and entrepreneur. She is a certified Health Coach with Institute of Integrative Nutrition.
