It’s that time of year again! The 23rd Annual Tibetan Bazaar is coming soon to Edmonton, from September 19-20, 2015.


Event Details

Date: Saturday and Sunday, September 19-20, 2015
Time: 10am – 5pm
Location: Alberta Ave Community Hall, 9210 118 Ave, Edmonton, AB
Admission: $5 Adults / FREE for children under 12 (accompanied by adult). Tickets available at the door.

If you haven’t been yet, you’re in for a treat. The Tibetan Bazaar is a unique celebration of the Tibetan culture – the only celebration of its kind in central and northern Alberta!

Attendees can shop in the Himalayan market, sample delicious Tibetan food including our famous momos (steamed dumplings), enjoy exceptional Tibetan entertainment, win door prizes and receive teachings and advice from Tibetan Buddhist monk Kushok Lobsang Dhamchöe.

The marketplace is a wonderful place to find unique imported gifts including handmade Tibetan wool carpets, hand-woven textiles, carved wooden décor, unique jewellery, traditional and modern art, authentic meditation supplies, and Tibetan spiritual items including singing bowls, incense burners, prayer beads, bells, cymbals and more.

A Special Performance!

Tibetan Bazaar 2015 - Edmonton, AB

Experience authentic Tibetan music and dance from world renowned Tibetan performers. Trained in folk music, dance and opera, Sherap Wangmo has performed around the world in many venues including Carnegie Hall. Classically trained Tibetan musician Pasang Dolma won best Tibetan female singer of the Year in 2003 and has personally performed for His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

Meditation Sessions

Learn about meditation and Buddhist philosophy from Tibetan monks Kushok Lobsang Dhamchöe and Geshe Pema Tshering. Highly knowledgeable in Buddhist philosophy, Geshe Pema will be giving a presentation on introductory Buddhism. Kushok Lobsang, trained by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, will be discussing meditation and its many benefits for health and wellness.
